Here are the top three stories today in Atlanta: Tuesday's Aging in Atlanta event provided estate planning and health resources for our community's aging residents. Participants were able to submit questions before the virtual event that was hosted by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Those who missed the event can still view the event by clicking this link. ( The Atlanta Journal Constitution)The Atlanta Police Department has released the 911 call recording in a case centered around a rideshare driver shooting a man claiming to be a police officer. The incident occurred near Target opposite the Lenox Square shopping complex earlier in the week. The man who was shot was following the driver for over two miles and used his vehicle to attempt to run the rideshare driver off the road. The man is currently being treated at a local hospital but will be sent to the Fulton County Jail eventually. (11Alive.com WXIA) Fulton County, DeKalb County, and Atlanta's LifeLine Community Animal Center will be waiving adoption fees this weekend. The event is in celebration of National Adoption Weekend. The shelters are currently at capacity and are trying to find roughly 400 animals new homes. All animals will be vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered.
