INLAND TECHNOLOGIES IS HIRING A LONG HAUL CDL CLASS A TRUCK DRIVER Based from Portland, ME | TYPE: Full Time Exempt ******NEW $4000 SIGN ON BONUS****** MILEAGE BONUS - UP TO 10K PER YEAR! OVERVIEW: The Long-Haul Driver will be based in Portland, ME. He/she will be responsible for local and long-haul bulk fluid transfers of Type 1 non-hazardous waste between our Northeast Mid Atlantic sites including but not limited to Portland, Newark, New York, Washington and Hartford. When not engaged in transporting fluid, there will be a requirement to operate our fluid collection and/or processing equipment. This is a regular full-time position. Travel is required and overnight travel can be expected. Apply at: BENEFITS INCLUDE: • $4000 SIGN ON BONUS! • MILEAGE BONUS - UP TO $10K PER YEAR! • Full time position • Paid Vacation and Holiday • Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K • Employee Discount Program • Employee Assistance Program ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Operate and navigate company-owned or leased vehicles in excess of four tons including tractor/trailer/tanker, forklift and mechanized equipment; • Document, record, and track all required log sheets IAW, FMCSA, DOT and Inland Technologies International Ltd. requirements; • Knowledge of local major and minor roadways and the ability to effectively use maps and direction for efficient travel routing; • Identify, troubleshoot and service devices, parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical principles; • Perform administrative tasks including maintaining information files and processing paperwork and travel logs; • Inspection of truck(s) before and after trips and submit reports indicating truck condition; • Service truck with fuel, oil and other fluids and perform preventative maintenance to tractor-trailer; • Inventory and inspect fluid quality prior to transport; • Apply knowledge of commercial driving regulations IAW FMSCA regulations when transporting and delivering goods; • Report to weigh station before and after loading and along route to document weight and conform to state regulations; • Adhere to Inland Technologies International Ltd. policies including commitment to the delivery of superior customer service in all interactions; • Practice safe operation of all equipment at all times. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: • Commercial Class A driver’s license with Tanker Endorsement; • Clean driver’s abstract; • Minimum two years’ commercial driving experience; • High school diploma or equivalent; • Must be able to pass drug screening and 10-year background check; • Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform vehicle maintenance. • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; • Ability to read and interpret written communication and reports; • Sitting while driving for long periods of time in possible inclement weather; • Ability to use hands and arms to install, position, move and manipulate items; • Ability to climb, balance, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl and handle materials; • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: • High School Diploma or GED required • Valid US Driver’s License • Must pass Transportation Security Administration background check Apply at: KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS: Safety SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None associated with this position. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Position will involve frequent travel and sitting while driving for long periods of time. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Position will involve sitting and driving for extended periods of time. Using hands to control tools and feel objects, reaching with hands and arms, speaking and hearing efficiently. POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a full-time position with an average of 40 hours per week. TRAVEL: Frequent travel necessary and a large component of this position. SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check for required airport security clearance and badging process.
