If you are the right person for this opportunity, you will possess the following knowledge, experience, and skills. • Service, clean, or supply rooms as directed. • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. • Gather and empty trash, or waste materials. • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. • Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications. • Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees. • Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems. • Dust furniture, walls, cabinets, machines, or equipment. • Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors. • Steam clean or shampoo carpets. • Communicate with manager and coworkers to coordinate maintenance of cleaning activities by telephone, in written form, or in person. • Perform duties in a safe manner for all employees and use safety notifications. • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Refer to the Employee Handbook for PPE requirements. AVC may release additional PPE requirements or policy based on unforeseen causes. Traveling employees must also comply with the AVC Travel Handbook. • This position is considered part-time and requires an in-office schedule of 20 hours per week. This may also include occasional local travel. • Confidentiality – The ability to limit access and use of information and documents to authorized persons. • Dependability — Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations. • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation. • Must agree to (and pass) a background check, physical, and drug screening testing. • High school diploma or equivalent. • This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager.
