The ideal candidate will work with the Roads & Grounds Manager to ensure that all Heather Gardens Roads & Grounds activities are accomplished on schedule. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: This position includes any one of these duties or any other work assigned. • Turf maintenance including mowing, aeration, fertilization, edging, trimming, sodding, seeding, and chemical application • Light landscape construction including Rock bed removal and replacement, landscape regrading, shrub and tree removal and replacement, bollard repair and replacement, and parking block replacement • Fall Leaf removal, trash removal, and street sweeping • Pruning of trees and shrubs • Weed abatement including manual weed pulling and herbicide application • All phases of snow removal which could include: shoveling or plowing and proper application of ice melt Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Ability to follow written and oral instructions and accomplish tasks with an excellent standard of customer service • Have a good attitude, willingness to learn, and strong interpersonal skills • Knowledge of the hazards involved, and safety precautions required for landscaping job duties Minimum Qualifications: 1. Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license. 2. Must have valid automobile insurance. 3. Must have a good driving record. Physical Requirements: 1. Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 lbs. 2. Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time. 3. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle. 4. Must be able to operate various hand tools effectively and safely. 5. Must be able to operate power tools effectively and safely. 6. Must have normal sight and hearing. Corrective lenses and hearing aids are acceptable. 7.
