We host Himmel parkrun https://www.parkrun.us/himmel a free 5k run/walk every week at Himmel park and we are looking for someone who wants to volunteer weekly to become part of our community to help with timing or being a run director or simply help. The commitment is relatively modest about 6:45 AM -> 8:15 AM every Saturday out at the North East corner of Himmel Park (south of the library) We help support runners and walkers of all abilities to get a (free!) weekly run around the park typically about 30 participants show up and we often times go for social coffee (at Flora's Market run) after or stay after to chat and have coffee in the park occasionally as well. It is a great way to meet people and help your local community!
