Essential Functions: Assist the sales team with engineered conceptual drawings and define specifications. Estimate and analyze production costs by working closely with plant managers. Make material and vendor recommendations to drive cost savings. Prepare cost estimate spreadsheets for medium to large bids. Use of 2D and 3D computer applications to ensure proper fit, form and function. Drafting, editing, and finalizing design plans and details using appropriate symbols and drafting Create and review final designs and layouts. Create and maintain accurate BOM’s for all trailers. Ensure compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries. Perform other duties as assigned. Additional Responsibilities: Maintains all aspects of workplace organization. Ensures Compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries. Communicate consistently on all activities to appropriate individuals (internal and external). Maintain ongoing communication and adhere to all Company policies to eliminate and or reduce exposure to liability. Special projects or work as assigned by the Supervisor. Experience/Education: Required: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Expertise in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must have the ability to work independently in a multi-tasking setting.  Must be familiar with standard office equipment including personal computer, copy machines, fax machines and mailing machines.  Must be able to proficiently utilize Microsoft Office Suite. Physical and Environmental Elements: This is primarily a sedentary office classification and employees work in an office with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances.  Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, or calculator and to operate standard office equipment.  The position occasionally bends, stoops, reaches, pushes and pulls drawers to retrieve and file information and lifts and carries reports and records that ty Apply now in just 2 minutes!
