Essential Functions: Assist the sales team with engineered conceptual drawings and define specifications. Estimate and analyze production costs by working closely with plant managers. Make material and vendor recommendations to drive cost savings. Prepare cost estimate spreadsheets for medium to large bids. Use of 2D and 3D computer applications to ensure proper fit, form and function. Drafting, editing, and finalizing design plans and details using appropriate symbols and drafting Create and review final designs and layouts. Create and maintain accurate BOM’s for all trailers. Ensure compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience/Education: Required: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Expertise in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must have the ability to work independently in a multi-tasking setting.  Must be familiar with standard office equipment including personal computer, copy machines, fax machines and mailing machines.  Must be able to proficiently utilize Microsoft Office Suite.
