Looking for BASS, SYNTH/KEYS and DRUMS for WEIRD Pop Project

Description

Hey there! I am a songwriter/guitarist/performer and am looking to put a new band together! I write pop songs (I use that term really broadly though) and am looking for really high caliber players to round this project out! I have a new record that is recorded and being mixed, as well as a slew of dates booked through the Spring and Summer. It would be great to bring a band to some of those dates. As for what I am searching for, I wouldn't say this is an ideal project for those types of players who are looking for a general business gig - although I want to make money off of my live performances, and intend on paying people that want to work with me, I can't say that I can afford to pay out 150 per player right off the bat. What I can offer is: any money made from shows will go right to the band split evenly (I will not take a cut), I will cover the cost of practice spaces and rehearsal beers/drinks. I don't envision practicing more than once a week and more likely it will be 2x a month (we are all adults and busy folks and have lives outside of music I'm sure). These are bands that I like: Spoon, Prince, LCD Soundsystem, Khruangbin, Talking Heads, Leif Vollebekk, Drake, Dua Lipa, Nilufer Yanya, Mac Demarco, Leonard Cohen, 70's philly soul, My sound gets compared to these folks: Elvis Costello, Blood Orange, Fun, Ted Leo, Joe Jackson But truly I am not trying to recreate anyone else's sound. I am interested in finding players with whom I have good chemistry and rapport with. The hang is just as important to me as the musicianship. About me: I have been performing for a good long time. I really know how to arrange and lead a band. I aim to make performances a real SHOW and not just playing music on a stage. I am a funny, fun guy, very punctual, and will really try to meet anyone interested in playing this kind of music where they are at. If you are still finding your footing as a player but dig all these sounds, great! Lets figure out how we can work together. I'm open to making this thing feel communal, connected, and fun. If you have never been in a band, sweet! This could be your first. If you are not the right player for this project I will let you know, but I promise to do it nicely and supportively.
