Our sweet (and old!) cat needs a new home. We are moving internationally and cannot take her along with us. Yoshimi (Yoshi) has been with us for nearly 17 years. She’s very fond of us and is cautious with strangers. Yoshi’s not a mean cat; however, until she gets to know you, she is likely hiss at you if you attempt to pet her. If you don’t “listen” to her warning, she will likely swipe at you. Again, Yoshi does not attack people, she just does not trust strangers. She has never lived with another animial, so more than likely she would need to be an only “child”. Whomever adopts Yoshi will need to be patient. It will take a while for her to bond with you, from two weeks to two months. We honestly have no idea! But when she does decide to trust you, you’ll be rewarded with cuddle time on your lap (especially if you have a cozy blanket) and some begging for you to pet her. We love her and will miss her dearly. Despite her personality “quirks” she has been very loving! So, in a nutshell, that’s our Yoshimi.
