Congratulations, Mama! You are truly embarking on one of the most extraordinary experiences of a lifetime.
We are here to support you, nourish you, and empower you during your prenatal journey - start to finish. In this unique 2 part workshop, we will address changes in our perinatal bodies, and how thoughtful yoga postures can effectively ease common pain, discomfort, and aches.
We will discuss the stages of labor, and how meditation, pranayama (breath practice) and verbalizations/mantras might create ways in which to relax our minds and trust ourselves.
We will encourage whole body awareness, cultivating a connection to your baby, and self. Through careful and safe movement we will introduce challenges that might feel similar to labor, giving you an opportunity to reflect on how you might use the resources of your yoga practice during the birthing experience.
This is a space that honors all choices in healthcare and birth. Our hope is to create a strong community that will foster confidence in body and mind as you move through this incredible journey.
This is a workshop for anybody - whether you’ve been practicing yoga for years, or have never set foot on a mat. You will leave with a deeper knowledge of your body’s amazing capabilities, feeling calm and empowered for delivery. Please bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing to be able to move in.
