Cooking Classes are Back!Join us for a culinary experience you won't forget at Maynard's Restaurant in Silverdale, WA.Join us for our first Culinary Cooking Class s in 2022! You've asked us to bring back cooking classes at Maynard's and we have finally done it. Our first cooking class is with award-winning chef Kahale Ahina, who will guide you through a culinary journey of his Hawaiian roots with two amazing dishes: Hawaiian Fried Rice & Beef & Broccoli. The culinary experience includes cooking demonstrations, opportunities to ask questions of the chef, and of course delicious bites throughout the class. Tickets are $95 per person, and only 12 spots are available per class, to provide a small and intimate educational setting. We expect our classes to sell out, so get your tickets ASAP before spots are filled! About Chef Kahale AhinaChef Ahina is a Bonney Lake High School Culinary Arts Instructor and on the Board of Directors for the Washington Hospitality Association Education Foundation. Chef Kahale Ahina was also named Chef of the Year for 2021 by the Washington State Chef’s Association. Chef Ahina is married and a father of two young men (all of whom are in the food service industry). His passion for cooking and sharing his culinary expertise with others employs him at Bonney Lake High School for the past 16 years. He not only teaches culinary skills but also involves students in competitions, catering events, and a multitude of industry experiences. When not in the kitchen, you can find the chef adventuring in his camping trailer and on the water as an avid water sports enthusiast. Chef especially enjoys grilling, sautéing, and cooking hot in his backyard wood-fired pizza oven and smoker.
