The Improvement Kata explained, explored and experienced! Mon-Tues ticket for the art, science and craft of the IK with Gemma Jones. Join this workshop to start right or revisit the art, science and craft of the Improvement Kata. From lunch together noon Monday, the Improvement Kata Experience is an interactive immersive experience with all the Starter Kata. This is a workshop for everyone, coaches and learners. At KataCon 8 in March, Gemma Jones and Julie Simmons offered a pilot of this workshop at 4 hours. Experienced coaches called it, "mind-blowing." We are taking 10 hours to really explore the Improvement Kata together with a hands-on participatory experience led by Gemma Jones. This workshop aims to build and calibrate your references for the Improvement Kata routines. Participants will take home a Starter Kata workbook, and a new or renewed understanding of how the kata work and work together to teach scientific thinking through practice.
