Description

For residents of minority neighborhoods desiring to be equipped for community-based nonprofit board service. Our ten-week program offers training, placement and a post-training support network to prepare and equip residents from minority neighborhoods to serve on boards of selected nonprofits active in their area. Weekly sessions begin Tuesday, August 16th and conclude Tuesday, October 18th from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM. Gained skill sets include identifying transferable skills, understanding nonprofit structure, understanding board governance, and preparing for board engagement. One-time registration fee includes ten-week training program and unlimited access to our bi-monthly skillworking events upon program completion.
