COVID-19 Cases On The Rise In Salem

SALEM, MA — The Salem Board of Health reported an increase in COVID-19 cases this week, with the 7-day average sitting around 25 new cases per day, from around 20 the previous week. Some 20 COVID-19 patients are currently at Salem Hospital, with one in the ICU, according to the City of Salem's website. The board also found a "general increase" in COVID-19 in Salem's wastewater. To combat what it calls a "troubling trend," the Salem Board of recommends masking in public indoor spaces, getting vaccinated and boosted if you haven't already and staying home if you're sick.
