Press release from the FCFRD News Blog: May 16, 2022 This week, May 15 – 21, is the 48th annual National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week! All firefighters in the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department are EMS providers. Personnel possess certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at the minimum. As well, several hundred more have certification as a Paramedic. Each day of EMS Week has a theme.
