Abilities Tennis of NC provides tennis programming for individuals with intellectual disabilities. We're thrilled you are interested in volunteering with Abilities Tennis of NC! Our training session gives volunteers information about our program, your role as a volunteer, Abilities Tennis guidelines, and disability etiquette. We will discuss in detail how to work on the court with people with intellectual disabilities. We will go over a typical clinic, including how to assist with basic ball and racquet drills. From 4:30 - 5:30 you will participate in a "real" clinic with the Abilities Tennis athletes for on-the-job training. Come prepared to move on the court. Bring your racquet and water bottle.
