Description

WALLINGFORD, CT — Wallingford police will be increasing enforcement of Connecticut's seatbelt laws throughout May and June as part of the annual Click-It-Or-Ticket campaign. "As we approach Memorial Day weekend and the unofficial start of the summer season, the Wallingford Police Department will participate with other law enforcement officials across the State of Connecticut to enforce the State Occupant Protection Laws and issue citations for those who are unbuckled," Sgt. David Blythe wrote in a news release. "Funding for this effort has been made possible by the police department's participation in a State of Connecticut Department of Transportation Highway Safety Enforcement Grant. This funding supports the staffing necessary to allow Wallingford Police to dedicate time and resources to this worthwhile effort. "Buckle Up- Every Trip. Every Time."
