Newcastle is hiring for several Seasonal Maintenance Workers. The position typically Monday – Friday 6:30 am - 4:00 pm, with rotating Friday's off. Flexible schedule may be possible, including part-time. Work with full-time Maintenance Technicians performing routine tasks including: • Landscaping tasks such as push-mowing, raking, weeding, edging, and line-trimming. • Uses a variety of hand tools such as shovel, pruning equipment, backpack blower and chainsaw. • Performs assigned work to maintain planted landscapes. • Works with City Crews maintaining a variety of City-owned infrastructure. • Performs assigned work to maintain City-owned sites including paved and non-paved areas. • Performs assigned work to maintain inside City-owned buildings including cleaning floors, changing light bulbs, and emptying waste cans. • Operates trucks in driving to work location, picking up and delivering materials and supplies, and to collect and remove debris from different locations.
