Press release from the Village of Palatine: In the Village of Palatine's 2021 Annual Audit, the Village was given an unmodified opinion, the best opinion the auditors can give, on its financial statements. The Village is proud to maintain its AA+ rating from Standard and Poor's and an AA2 rating from Moody's Investors Service. For the first time in 25 years, the Village has reduced its share of the property tax levy to under 11% (10.24%). The Village has worked diligently to reduce debt and increase payments to pension funds.
