Come explore the Hoyt with PAEA Region 1! Join us on Thursday, June 23rd from 10 am -12:30 pm at the Hoyt Art Center located in New Castle, PA to explore their collection, learn about Shenango pottery and the rich Native American history of the area, and do some artmaking! After a tour of the facility, Robert Presnar of The Hoyt will be leading us in a presentation regarding the native inhabitants of the region from the end of the last Ice Age until settlement in the early 1800s & Native American legacies from the foods that we eat, to the names that we speak and the roads that we drive. The presentation will be followed by an artmaking activity. Participants will receive 2.5 hours of Act 48 credit. All materials will be provided. Bring your mask.
