The Alternative Board Business Owner Roundtable
Executive teams at most large companies have a board of directors to run ideas past, discuss strategy, and obtain guidance. Leaders of small and medium sized organizations generally do not. As such, its “lonely at the top” for most business leaders/owners.
A Business Roundtable allows owners to experience the power of peer advisory. The meeting offers the host an optimal environment to engage with clients and prospects at a deeper level. Past issues discussed:
• How to hire in a challenging environment.
• Exploration of additional revenue streams.
• How to prepare for an upcoming recession.
NUMBER OF BUSINESS OWNERS INVITED: 5 - 7.
Past attendees are business owners:
• Whose growth has plateaued.
• With a high employee turnover.
• Whose sales staff is performing at a suboptimal level.
• Whose culture is not fostering employee engagement.
• Without a succession plan.
• With an owner who IS the business and therefore will likely experience a lower valuation at
exit.
• With an owner who is tired of working at the expense of family life.
• Where the owner knows that things must change but is unsure what change is needed.
