Dogwood Poop Scoop Service This is for regular, part-time route contractor position. This is not for a temporary or full-time position. Seniors or retirees are encouraged to apply as well as anyone that meets the requirements and is over 18 years old. Experience with dogs, yard maintenance and/or driving is preferred. We are looking to fill these five routes for approximately: 3 hours on Mondays in Denver 5 hours on Tuesdays in Denver and East Aurora 5 on Wednesdays in Denver and Green Valley Ranch 6 hours on Thursdays in Denver 7 hours on Fridays in Denver We are specifically looking for dog poop scoopers who work during regular work-week daytime hours. There are no night-time positions and weekend hours are unusual or by advance agreement only. There may be some extra work offered as the need occurs. For the most part the right scoopers can schedule their own working time during regular work-week, daytime, business hours. Starting scooper routes average $18 per hour on a per-client wage. Scoopers will use their own vehicle; compensation average is based on working periods and driving to clients only, not driving to and from home. Job Description and Responsibilities: This is an independent contractor, pet waste removal position (poop scooper) for a professional animal waste removal service. The scooper contractor will travel to client property, scoop and rake or otherwise remove pet waste from grounds, bag waste, transport waste and dispose of waste. The scooper contractor needs to record accurate notes of service and submit them daily. Working times are negotiable and can vary depending on client load and route. While weather can impact this work, in general we scoop under most weather conditions. Be prepared to work in advance of forecast poor weather, or to create an alternative schedule to ensure clients are serviced in times of falling rain, snow or severe weather temperatures. Must have or be willing to get your own liability insurance and workmen’s compensation or waiver. We have a well-priced, pet focused insurance resource if you need a recommendation. Primary Requirements: -at least 18 years old; suitably qualified seniors or retirees are very welcome also -have own reliable, insured vehicle and good driving record -valid driver's license and social security card or be legal to work in the United States -MUST LIKE DOGS and be very comfortable with unknown dogs; must not be afraid of dogs -MUST have daily computer and internet access -keep good records and submit timely documentation for billing and payment purposes -reliable and dependable with good time management capabilities -willing to working outdoors, all year round, in all types of weather -have good vision (with or without corrective lenses) -have ability to reliably walk over different landscapes or yard terrains -be able to carry tools and lift a 13 gallon trash bag of waste -possess good map skills, GPS or ability to use mapping programs or applications -must have a good sense of direction and not get easily lost -MUST have dependable access to a cell telephone during work periods -have good customer service skills with pet owners -be able to assess and open challenging gates or doors as necessary -a sense of humor preferable (it is dog poop after all) -be comfortable working alone Thank you for your interest in Dogwood Poop Scoop. v051822
