We are celebrating Tampa Gator Club's 75th Anniversary and Scholarship Banquet. The banquet is one of the signature events of the Tampa Gator Club and includes a dinner and awards program at an iconic Tampa location. Help us celebrate our awe-inspiring local Gators, who have displayed an outstanding commitment to both our community and our beloved University. Date and Time: Thursday, June 9th 630 PM to 9 PM Registration Opens at 6 PM (Cocktail Reception at Bar). Event starts at 630 PM Dress: Business Casual Event FAQ Sheet The dinner will be held from 630 pm to 9 pm at the fantastic Columbia Restaurant. 2117 E 7th Ave. Tampa, FL 33605 813-248-4961 The Columbia Restaurant was founded in 1905 by Cuban immigrant Casimiro Hernandez, Sr. 1) The restaurant is on the south side of 7th Avenue, between N 21st and N 22nd Streets. 2) There is free parking across the street on the north side of 7th Avenue, off N 22nd Street. Additional free parking is available in nearby parking lots owned by Columbia Restaurant. There are 4 large parking lots surrounding the restaurant. All are marked with large red signs stating ‘Columbia Restaurant Parking only’. These lots are available for parking at no cost, but they are only available during restaurant hours. No vehicles can be left over-night without the on-duty manager issuing a special parking pass. Vehicles without a parking pass will be towed after 11:00 pm. 3) Entry into the building is from the 7th Avenue entrance. We will have a welcome sign in front of the patio entrance – guests should enter from there. We will have signs pointing you in the right direction and a greeter to assist. 4) Each principal or guidance counselor are at no charge. Should you require additional spots for guests, please let us know. 5) The dress code for the dinner is business casual. 6) Seating will be assigned. You must check in upon entry to the dinner and you will be given your table number. 7) Dietary restrictions can be accommodated with prior notification. Please let us know about any allergies. For any vegan/vegetarian meals we suggest the vegetarian Cubana. For any gluten free meals, we suggest 1905 salad – ropa vieja – flan. We need to know your menu selection prior to the event, so please register as soon as possible. 8) Cash Bar: There will be cash bar available for guests over 21 years of age. Domestic Beer $6, Import Beer $7, Cocktails $8, Sangria $9, House Wine $10, and Premium Cocktails $13 each. 9) Covid-19 mitigation efforts: We strive to make everyone as comfortable as possible when attending this event. We are assigning seats to keep family units together. Other people may sit at your table such as your principal and guidance counselor. If there is room, a member of the Tampa Gator Club board may also sit at your table. If you prefer to keep your table family only, please let us know. 10) Photographs: We will have a photographer present at this event. There will be group pictures for the scholarship recipients. There will also be opportunities for families to have professional photographs taken at the event.
