SAN DIEGO, CA — The Coronado Bridge on Highway 75 was reopened Sunday to two-way vehicle traffic after the 35th Bay Bridge Run-Walk ended, police said.
The U.S. Navy hosted the four-mile course that featured about 9,000 participants, race director Kim Hansen said.
The bridge had limited access to vehicle traffic starting at 4 a.m. Sunday. It reopened to motorists traveling in both lanes at about 10:30 a.m., the Coronado Police Department said.
The race began on Park Boulevard and finished in Coronado's Tidelands Park, where racers received a commemorative shirt and medal.
