Here are the top three stories in Atlanta today: The Briarcliff Mansion is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The Atlanta mansion is a popular filming location for shows such as Stranger Things, Vampire Diaries, Doom Patrol, and First Man. The mansion was once home to the heir of Coca-Cola, Asa Candler, Jr. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution) Atlanta will be submitting a formal bid to be the host city for the 2024 Democratic National Convention. The announcement was made by Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens during the annual state party dinner. The city last played host to the party in 1988 when it chose Michael Dukakis as its presidential candidate. (WRDW) The Atlanta Hawks and State Farm are seeking more than 5,000 volunteers to help with its Million Meal Pack program on Jul. 16. The event is meant to distribute one million meals throughout the city's metro area. Each volunteer will receive a free T-Shirt, and a voucher for two tickets to an upcoming Hawks home game.
