Here are the top three stories in Atlanta today: The Atlanta Police Department reports that protestors were arrested for throwing firebombs and rocks at officers. The reaction was in response to a police raid at the protestor camp on the site of a planned training facility for the department. Some protestors have been camping at the location for more than seven months. (WSB Atlanta)A study performed by the American Heart Association has found that Hispanic people with chest pains waited significantly longer to be treated at an Atlanta hospital. The study examined more than 11,000 medical records from the Grady Memorial Hospital emergency room. According to the study, Hispanics waited 39 percent longer compared to other ethnicities and races. (FOX 5 Atlanta) Atlanta Mayor Dickens is asking for additional funding to support the city's 911 Call Center. The funds will be used to improve the center's call response. Currently, nearly 13 percent of callers are waiting on hold for more than 40 seconds. The funding increase will be through an infrastructure ballot measure.
