Description
Cascade Manor is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to plan, schedule, direct, and supervise all Maintenance and Engineer team members by ensuring efficient and effective completion of repairs and maintenance of community buildings and equipment. This position will also oversee distribution and completion of all service requests. How You’ll Do It: Organize and maintain maintenance shops and work areas. Document and maintain records regarding the maintenance of all equipment, resident work orders and general building maintenance. Establish, maintain and document preventive maintenance programs pertaining to maintenance and repairs of all buildings and equipment. Order, receive and maintain inventories of all supplies, tools and equipment. Make capital purchase recommendations to Facility Services Director. Perform and document quality assurance inspections of all maintenance work performed to assure consistent quality control. Participate on a hands-on level and work as a Maintenance Technician as needed. Train, schedule and supervise maintenance team members on proper cleaning techniques, proper usage of chemicals, safety procedures, etc. Adhere to quality assurance and customer service satisfaction policies and procedures. Delegate and assign all work requests to team members. Lead team members by ensuring accountability, communication and effective work. Assist with Key Management Program and Emergency and Disaster planning as it relates to building maintenance and improvements as directed by Facility Services Director. Work with the Facility Services Director to review employee performance and discipline as needed. Provide coaching and counseling to Maintenance employees in alignment with core practices, policy and procedure. Monitor and submit timeclock entries and employees hours for employee members consistently and on time. Support Facility Services leadership in ensuring standardized best practices, policies and procedures are refined, implemented and followed. Ensure all employees are trained. Attend all resident and team meetings and/or events requiring your presence. Be knowledgeable of emergency procedures and act in a calm manner in an emergency. About You: Strong customer service skills are a must. Appliance, plumbing, general repair knowledge is expected. Associate or bachelor’s degree in maintenance, engineering or a related field is preferred. Three (3) years’ maintenance experience in HVAC/mechanical, electrical, plumbing, locksmithing, utility system and/or general building repair. Entry-level leadership experience in a related field is preferred. Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, maintenance tracking software and basic repair/maintenance of computer software and hardware. Skills in operation, repair and maintenance of shop equipment and tools. Basic knowledge of telephone and TV system use, repair and maintenance. Knowledge of solutions, chemicals, and pertinent cleaning supplies and their specific safety requirements.Knowledge of fire prevention, suppression and alarm systems. Ability to read and understand specifications, plans and drawings, especially mechanical. Good oral and written communications skills. Ability to fill out forms and keep accurate records.
