Composing guitarist and drummer need a bassist to complete a trio playing blues on the jazz side. If you also play upright bass, you get priority consideration. Availability to get together and work is crucial; we're not looking to be a once-a-week proposition, and we want to troll for gigs as soon as possible once we have a basic book built. Please read carefully: This is not a bloozerock or fusion project. We want to play original jazz-side blues material and a very few, select deep covers. (Grant Green, Kenny Burrell, Duke Ellington, Dizzy Gillespie, Benny Golson, Charlie Parker, Jimmy Smith, Gabor Szabo, etc.) We want to keep things simple, swinging, and grooving for people to listen and dance.
