Classical/indie composer/songwriter seeking casual music collaboration

Description
Yo! First of all, I'm not a spring chicken. I'm in my 40s. I went to music school in my thirties to study classical composition. Before that, I did a fair amount of songwriting and the occasional performing at smaller venues. It feels like a lifetime ago. I've played this game many times in past, trying to meet other like-minded musicians on Craigslist. It can be great, but is often stressful. I've met one of my best friends of 20 years that way but have also had to deal with a lot of rejection in both directions which is never fun. Right now, I mainly just want to make social connections with other musicians and keep the collaboration part low pressure and unforced. That said though, I'm mainly interested in meeting people who have a solid amount of musical skill, i.e. not at an amateur level. That's just me being honest and an attempt to save everyone time. I have a small setup of instruments and recording gear at my apartment. I'm willing to travel though if you have a more ideal space. I'm Vietnamese-American and it would be great to connect with other musicians of color. I primarily play piano/synth and guitar and sing. I am currently trying to learn the đàn tranh, a Vietnamese type of zither instrument. Cultural heritage is something that's really important to me, because I didn't get any when I was growing up, having been adopted. My musical tastes are kind of all over the place, but if I had to describe it, I'd say it tends toward the emotional, occasionally technically complex, and cinematic. Here's a link to my Soundcloud. It's admittedly older stuff: https://soundcloud.com/liarlyre Hit me up if you think getting together might be interesting for you. I know listing the bands you like isn't always helpful in making connections, so don't feel obligated to read past this paragraph, but in case you want to know, I'll include that below. The bands I'm into tend to be less well-known, but here are some of the artists I'm currently into: Forth Wanderers, Frankie Cosmos, Lomelda, Flor de Toloache, Algiers, Kero Kero Bonito. My all-time favorite artists are Yes, Mike Oldfield, and Aaron Kernis. Some bands I used to get down to a lot are: Mates of State, Wye Oak, John Adams (the classical composer), Ligeti, Michael Nyman, Radiohead, Elliott Smith, Gillian Welch, Versus, Purity Ring, The Dø, Suboi, Sơn Tùng M-TP, The Roots, Stereolab, old school Death Cab, Bat for Lashes, Aphex Twin, Cocorosie, Cranes. My heart vacillates between being really into the 80s, 90s, and 2000s lately. Go figure. I listen to Pantera's Cemetary Gates pretty regularly. (I was into hair metal when I was a teenager.) P.S. I also like playing video games... when I have time to.
