We are looking for experienced janitorial staff to join our growing team. PLEASE INCLUDE RESUME AND TWO REFERENCES WITH APPLICATION Essential Duties - Cleans commercial and private facilities including office, warehouse, industrial, residential and clinical environments - Mop tile and concrete floor areas - Vacuum all carpeted areas - Dust all furniture and fixture as required - Wash and disinfect all washroom floors, toilets, toilet seats, hand dryers and fixtures - Clean all mirrors - Replenish toilet tissue and soap as needed - Empty all waste basket and garbage cans - Place garbage in outside storage bin - Clean entrance and exit including glass, doors and hardware - Keep outside area near exit and entrance clear of snow, cans, paper and etc. - Clean, wash and disinfect drinking fountains - Wash all finger marks from walls, doors, hardware and glass - Clean break room sinks and counters - Report damages and acts of vandalism - Wash and buff floors with floor polisher - Wash entrance and exit floors - Clean walls and toilet partitions - Perform any other duties as assigned Additional Adhoc Duties - Will be required to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, holidays and, on call hours - Is expected to ensure the proper and safe operation (including training) of cleaning equipment, tools, devices, chemical/cleaning agents including mops, vacuums, electric polishing machines, power tools and equipment, and special cleaning solutions in order to efficiently perform the duties and to avoid harming floors, fixtures, individuals, and building staff. Minimum qualifications/Requirements: - 1 year experience in the janitorial industry with basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and floor work techniques required. - 18 years of age or older required. - General knowledge of janitorial and building maintenance a plus - During winter months responsible for snow and ice removal and be available for on call (if applicable) - Ability to maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition - Night/weekend/holiday work required. - Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed - Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required - Must be trustworthy and dependable - Must be able to perform light maintenance work - Use of own vehicle may be required - Must be able to transport self to and from worksite Ideal candidate will have/be: - Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred. - Team building skills - Reliable and punctual - Hard Working - An experienced Custodian
