Description

We are looking for a Machinist helper to support shop floor production in a machining and fabrication environment. Helper will perform various shop activities, operating horizontal metal cutting band saw, deburring, tapping, assisting CNC machines, cleaning, packing of parts along with other duties. Working 4 10hr Days - Monday - Thursday with occasional overtime. Room for Advancement Responsibilities Support facilities maintenance by maintaining fluid levels, managing chip removal from machines, cleaning throughout the facility along with other maintenance related duties Work within and promote the company, promote improvements Focus on the key daily tasks and disciplines that support a clean, safe and productive environment Skills Exceptional Attendance and Timeliness Ability to think independently Ability to multitask, prioritize and adapt to shifting priorities Good listening and communications skills Open and willing to support where necessary Ability to interact and work well with others Decision Making/Problem solving skills Time/Self-Management skills Strong desire to learn/grow and support in a machining environment Mechanically inclined Helpful but not necessary Experience driving a forklift Experience operating a horizontal metal cutting band saw
