... I am a am a veteran Rhythm Guitar in my 50's. I've played guitar with a female vocalist @ the mic in most (& some of the best) Classic Rock Cover Band I've been in over the past 40 years, with few regrets. I love the material, the sound & the versatility of a woman doing 60s/701s/80s Classic Rock (+ 90's & the 21st Century if there are any women left who do ROCK in this computerized, electronic age); the amazing sound of a woman harmonizing with especially a male singer. Blondie, Divinyls, Fleetwood Mac (STEVIE!), Janis Joplin, Grace Slick, Lind Ronstadt, Pat Benatar, Pink, Scandal. Joan Jett, Lita Ford, Pretenders, Quarterflash, Natalie Merchant/10,000 Maniacs), Hole, Baby Animals, the Go-Go's.... specifically these, but I'm flexible, & my list goes on... So are there any women out there in NYC (or Westchester, Orange, & Rockland) who sing or are managing a band, OR a women who is willing to start a new Classic Rock Band with me (& needs players)?
