Duties for Giacobbe-Fritz and GF Contemporary include but are not limited to:
• Hanging or placing of art work, according to Directors specifications
• Repair damaged walls using plaster, joint compound, and paint
Maintain overall cleanliness of gallery floors, walls, windows, and facilities
Maintain the exterior of gallery, sweeping debris from the doors and entrance areas, shoveling/sweeping snow, cleaning the watermarks & dust off sculptures, clean blue benches (GFFA)
Organize storage of art work to assure it’s out of harms way and easily accessible
Organize and maintain the supply/cave area - so when the GP is not on site the staff can easily find things.
GP is responsible for ordering packing materials, cleaning products, waste bin liners and paper products (toilet paper/paper towels)
• Prepare art work for shipping
Help setup and break down special gallery functions
Maintain the waste bins - checking daily and replacing the bin liner
Vacuuming
Changing light bulbs as they burn out and making sure the gallery has enough cans for lighting.
