We are looking for an experienced and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our growing property management team! Experience with a variety of maintenance tasks such as minor electrical work, drywall repairs, appliance installation, minor plumbing and general handyman work is needed. The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys meeting new people, is experienced with helping tenants resolve maintenance issues, has good communication skills, and is above all else a reliable worker. Experience in other real estate jobs is a bonus! Our goal is to help tenants and owners resolve maintenance issues in a professional, timely manner. Positive attitude and attention to detail is a must have for this role. Responsibilities: Observe and report home repairs as needed and conduct preventative maintenance walkthroughs. Perform maintenance of electrical and plumbing systems. HVAC experience a plus! Drywall repairs including painting work. Install and remove security systems Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, windows, cabinets, doors, etc.) Conduct general property upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping, gutter cleaning, light tree trimming) and other tasks as assigned. Use property management software as needed and work off a list of city correction orders. Owns own transportation and basic tool set including power tools. Skills: Experience as maintenance technician in apartment or handyman field Reliable transportation Ability to use management software, google calendar, and other technology. Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and other home systems. Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods. Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work. Ability to manage daily workload efficiently and timely Any contractor certifications highly sought.
