Cass the "Dumpster Puppy"

Description
With a heavy heart, we’ve decided as a family to vet out a possible new family/owner for our girl “Cass”. We’ve had her since she was a puppy and came to an agreement that we’ve become too busy as a family and thought we’d try to seek out a suitable owner for her and one that can give the attention we want her to have. We want more for her than we can give CASS’ STORY: My fiancé found her when coming back from a tour fighting forest fires. The day him and his crew returned, they found her near the station dumpster. She was 3 months old and underweight. The area she was found it was clear she had to have been abandoned there. My fiancé adopted her and took care of her when he could, but he also relied on his family for years to help care for her due to his schedule. When she was 6 months old, she injured her ACL. Over the years she would occasionally re-injure it and have a limp for a few weeks. As of late, her ACL only flares up occasionally on rainy days like arthritis, but runs and leaps on it like an athlete. She has hiked up Yosemite falls and learned a few years ago how to swim, so her abilities haven’t been limited since her days as a puppy. She is now 7 years old. SOME THINGS ANYONE SHOULD KNOW BEFORE INQUIRING AND REACHING OUT: *She would need to be go to a home where she is the ONLY dog. *We would need to vet you out over multiple visits so her and you would be able to get to know each other (she’s more standoffish than excited to meet new people.) - Cass is GREAT with kids. (we have four young boys) and them being in her life has given her so much purpose. -She is also great with kids that come over and visit whom she has never met. -She is very obedient. -She does enjoy being outdoors and likes water. -She’s very simple, an easy dog, and behaves very well. -So much more of course but we can talk details with those who are seriously wanting to love a new doggy and we find suitable for her needs and personality. Any questions, please feel free to DM me and we can talk further. Thank you so much.
