Are you interested in learning the principles of design thinking so you can use it in your own classroom and on your own campuses? Dear Colleagues: Hooray, we are back!!! Are you interested in learning the principles of design thinking so you can use it in your own classroom and on your own campuses? The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), Center for Project-Based Learning (CPBL) and Learning Engagement and Academic Innovation team (LEAI) is offering a four-day workshop for faculty where you will utilize Design Thinking and learn how you might use it yourself. We will be using design thinking to create learning environments focused on fostering a sense of belonging and is applicable to colleagues in K-12 and higher education. This opportunity is limited to the first forty people to register. The workshop will run from July 12-15, 2022. We will meet 9 a.m.-4:30 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We will meet 9-12:30 on Friday. You will need to be present all four days as this is highly interactive and team-based. Please don't register if you are unable to attend all four days. The best part-- this opportunity is free. This workshop is based on the work of the Teaching and Learning Studio at Stanford's d.school. and the book, Relationship-Rich Education , written by Peter Felten and Leo Lambert of Elon University. You will be given files of all the files we use for your own classrooms. For those who need professional development hours, we can offer you hours towards teacher certification for this opportunity.
