Move your body, meet new people, & support Lake Michigan! Adopt-a-Beach Seva Yoga Did know that 22 MILLION pounds of plastic is dumped into the Great Lakes and 11 million pounds alone is dumped into Lake Michigan each year? Did you also know this precious resource harbors 20% of the planet's fresh water supply? Wildlight Yoga will engage in Seva to adopt a beach this summer to help keep them pollution free! Seva is defined as an act selfless service and collectively we can make a difference. This summer, join Wildlight Yoga in caring for our Great Lakes at our beach yoga class and beach cleanups led by Yoga Teacher, Jen Frazier. Yoga will begin at 8a by the Dock on Montrose Beach. After yoga cleanup will run from about 9:30- 11:30 followed by a closing meditation. Please bring a yoga mat, work gloves, a snack, and a reusable bottle for water. Trash bags and some supplies will be provided. Please dress comfortably and seasonably. Cash donations accepted and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to The Alliance for the Great Lakes.
