Press release from University of Wisconsin - Green Bay: May 13, 2022 All sections of the capstone class for business students (MGMT 482 Capstone in Business Strategy) recently had teams make it to the Top 100 rank in the GloBus Simulation in the final round of the Capstone simulation worldwide. Five teams from Associate Prof. Vallari Chandna's (Marketing & Management) three class sections and two teams from Assistant Prof. Md. Tarique Newaz's two class sections, placed in the top 10% of teams competing globally. Each week, the best-performing companies are measured on multiple performance variables such as overall score, earnings per share, return on equity and stock price. For the week of April 25-May 1, 2022 there were 1,676 teams from 71 colleges/universities competing and, the teams that placed in the top 100 were ranked in the overall game as 11th, 20th, 33rd , 52nd and three teams shared the 99th rank. Students from the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business have placed in the top 100 of the GloBus Simulation multiple times previously (including this year), but this is only the third time that every Capstone section has a team in the top 100 simultaneously.
