From perennial favorites (tomatoes) to favorite perennials (fruit trees), join us to learn how to set your plants up for success! Join us to learn how to get the most of all the fruit and veggies in your landscape! First we'll share tips and techniques to help your tomatoes achieve peak performance. Tomatoes aren't always easy, but there are things you can do to set your plants up for success. In the second half of class we'll learn about summer pruning of fruit trees. While fruit trees are pruned in late winter for health, summer pruning is done for size control. This session will show you how and why summer pruning is another tool to use to maximize your enjoyment of the fruits you can grow. Join the Extension Master Gardenerâ„  Volunteers of Durham County to learn gardening tricks and tips at the Briggs Avenue Community Garden. Sessions will be led by Kathryn Hamilton and Kat Causey. REGISTRATION REQUIRED Parking is available along the street, and please bring your own chair. There is a limit of ten people per class.
