Press release from the Boston Police District D-4 South End: May 16, 2022 At about 9:27 PM on Saturday, May 14, 2022, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) arrested Stephanie Beard, 34, of Manchester, New Hampshire, following a traffic stop in the area of 69 Boston Street in Dorchester. At about 1:34 PM, day tour patrol officers performed a registration inquiry of a motor vehicle which the suspect was operating in the area of 870 Massachusetts Avenue, which informed them of an outstanding Homicide warrant stemming from an incident that occurred on Friday, May 13, 2022, in Manchester (NH). Although the officers were unable to perform a traffic stop at the time of the initial inquiry, this information was shared with BPD officers from surrounding districts and the Boston Regional Intelligence Center (BRIC). Over the next several hours, investigators assigned to District D-4 were able to utilize available cameras in the City of Boston to locate the suspect vehicle, eventually resulting in the traffic stop and subsequent arrest of the wanted party nearly eight hours later. The suspect was placed in custody without incident and is expected to appear in South Boston District Court as a Fugitive from Justice, pending extradition to New Hampshire in connection to the ongoing Homicide investigation.
