Press release from the Town of Shrewsbury: May 16, 2022 Beginning at 8:30 PM on Tuesday, May 17th, the Town's contractor, Hydra Tech, will be replacing a malfunctioning water valve in the vicinity of 864 Hartford Turnpike, Route 20. Water service in the area must be interrupted to allow the contractor to complete this work and is expected to the restored by 5:00 AM. The water service interruption area is between 792 and 904 Hartford Turnpike, including all of Avalon. Please follow the link below for a map of the area where water will be off. Residents in the vicinity of the project may also experience brief periods of reduced pressure or discolored water. If you experience discolored water once the project is complete, please run the cold water in a downstairs bathtub until it clears.
