Lager Fest will bring you 20+ breweries serving their most crushable craft lagers and more in partnership with Ribstock BBQ Festival! Lagers have been the most popular family of beer worldwide for the past 150 years. From the creation of the Czech Pilsner in the mid-1800s to the fall favorite Festbier, or the ubiquitous yellow fizzy American macros, lagers have dominated beer consumption worldwide. However, over the past 15 years during the craft beer explosion the humble lager has taken a back seat to styles such as IPAs, kettle sours, and barrel aged stouts. But the pendulum always swings back, and craft lagers have been gaining popularity over the last few years, and the Nebraska Craft Brewers Guild is excited to bring you the first annual Lager Fest! We have been working with our friends at Ribstock BBQ Festival to partner up for a great event that combines great BBQ and local craft beer - a perfect summer duo! Attendees of Lager Fest will receive free entry into Ribstock ($5 savings) to enjoy the 10+ BBQ vendors, activities, live music from High Heel, and more. This event not only will benefit the Nebraska Craft Brewers Guild but also the charity partners of Ribstock including Food Bank for the Heartland, the Western Douglas County Food Basket Program, and Project Wee Care’s after-school backpack program for children facing food insecurity.
