Description

This event will focus on BIPOC Mental Wellness and ways to close the gap between various needs in the community and resources available. "Race and Resiliency: A Mental Health Symposium" will take place on Friday, July 15th at Lane College in Jackson, TN. During this event we will focus on mental wellness for Black and Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC), as July is "National Minority Mental Health Month." This event will look into the status of suicide and mental health amongst the BIPOC community and how to better address needs that are present. Our hope is that all who attend will be leaving with a better understanding of how individually and collectively we can play a part in closing the gaps in health disparities in this community. Tickets to this event are $15, which will include breakfast and lunch. We are working to provide CEU's for this event and will update the page as we have more information. Exhibitors and sponsors are welcome to attend this event and can contact Lindsey Carr at [email protected] to learn more information about how your organization can be a part of making this event a success. We appreciate your partnership! This will be an in-person event at the CMAC Building on Lane's campus. Doors will open at 7:30 for Registration and Breakfast. The event will start at 8:30 and conclude at 3:30, with breaks and lunch included. If you have any specific questions about this event, please contact Lindsey Carr at [email protected]. We look forward to seeing you all there!
