Inspire Sailing School at the Berkeley Marina is hiring fleet service technicians and fleet service staff. Full time or part time.
Fleet service technicians have prior experience working on sailboats. Including skills in one or more areas including outboard motors, marine diesel engines, rigging, fiberglass/gelcoat, marine carpentry, marine electrical, brightwork.
Fleet service staff are interested in learning about sailboats, assisting with basic tasks across the fleet including boat check-ins (cleaning), maintenance and repairs.
Fleet service techs and staff work together to make sure every sailboat in our fleet is charter-ready and safe to operate. Including checking-in (cleaning) and preparing boats between charters or classes; assisting students and members with troubleshooting; reporting, tracking, repairing broken items; completing preventative maintenance. Fleet service requires a minimum of one weekend day per week. Part time roles are minimum 3 full days/week including two weekend days.
