Here are the top stories today in New Orleans: A fire took out a crucial S&WB turbine causing the agency to declare an "extreme emergency" but no officials were notified. The information was finally made apparent through a public records request. (WWLTV.com) The city of New Orleans is considering finding a new 911 service provider after the system went down on Sunday afternoon causing all of the city's calls to be rerouted to Jefferson Parish. City officials didn't realize the system went down until they noticed calls going to Jefferson Parish, and they hadn't been notified by the provider. (FOX 8 Local First) A carjacker speed off with a woman still on the hood of the vehicle they attempted to steal in the Central Business District on Sunday.
