GREENWICH, CT — A human skull was found near the Sound Beach Avenue Bridge in Old Greenwich on May 14, and police said it's likely related to the remains of a homeless man which were found in the area five years ago. The skull was found by contractors who were working on the Sound Beach Avenue Bridge replacement project Saturday morning, police said. Forensic testing on the skull will be conducted. On April 26, 2017, Greenwich parks employees were cleaning debris from a wooded section of Binney Park off Harding Road when they discovered human remains. In 2019, police identified the remains as Peter Robinson, a homeless man who likely died in 2015 or 2016 on the Stamford/Greenwich border. Robinson was approximately 50 years old, 5-foot-7 and 175 pounds, police said. Robinson would often stay in the Pacific House homeless shelter in Stamford. The investigation into Robinson's death remains ongoing, police said.
