The Community Engagement program would like to celebrate African American culture this Juneteenth weekend with a special family field day! Bring the whole family to this FREE event where participants can enjoy a full day of hiking, kayaking, fishing and more! We will even have special guests Durrell & Ashley Smith from Minority Outdoor Alliance attend. Participants will enjoy free lunched provided by Chick-Fil-A, however you must register to secure a meal. Event schedule is as follows: • 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.-Check in and registration • 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.-Field Day events:o Hunter’s Education o Hiking o Fishing o Kayaking • 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.-Lunch For more information, please contact the community engagement team at 803-734-3729, or email: informací[email protected]. • What to bring: Dress is casual. Check the weather report and dress appropriately as you will be outside. Other items to consider bringing include hat, sunglasses, bug spray and sunscreen.
