Learn what it takes to create a sustainable youth garden! Learn what it takes to create a sustainable youth garden. This program is designed for educators who want to bring environmental lessons into the classroom and inspire kids to get out into the garden. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A TEACHER TO ATTEND.  Participants will help build an outdoor school garden. Plenty of hands-on activities, so come prepared to get dirty! This 3-session/12-hour course will cover: How to design and maintain a school garden year-round How to build raised beds, vertical planters Growing intensively in containers and small spaces Teaching kids through planting trees Involving the community Finding best ways to get the kids outside enjoying nature!
