Washington Township Passes 2022 Municipal Budget, Taxes To Rise 1.9% The Township Committee presented a $20.5 million municipal budget for the 2022 fiscal year at a recent committee meeting. The $20.5 million budget will be supported by $13.3 million in property taxes collected from Washington Township's residential and commercial property owners. Memorial Day Celebration Event Planned For Long Valley Washington Township Recreation is hosting a Memorial Day ceremony on May 28, and residents are invited to join city officials in honoring fallen veterans in the community and across the country. The event begins at 12 p.m. at Rock Spring Park in Long Valley. Pump Your Own Gas, Get A Discount At This Long Valley Station A Long Valley gas station is scheduled to offer discounts on Friday to customers who choose to pump their own gas at the pump. The station is one of 78 in New Jersey that will offer lower "self-serve" prices as part of a campaign to convince state lawmakers to add self-service options at the pump. Learn Ballet At Classical Workshop In Long Valley With summer vacation quickly approaching, it's time to enroll your children in summer activities and lessons. Washington Township Recreation has organized a free ballet workshop for students aged four to nine. The workshop starts on June 6 and runs from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The workshop will be held at the Senior Center, 35 East Springtown Road, L.V. Get It Shredded In Long Valley: Town To Hold Free Event For Residents The Washington Township will hold a free shredding event for residents on May 21 at the DPW office. The DPW office is located at 54 Rock Road in Long Valley. The event will take place between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. This event is only open to residents of Washington Township, Morris County. All attendees will be asked for proof of residency. After 2 Years The Youth Fishing Derby Returns To Long Valley After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the Annual Fishing Derby For Washington Township and Califon Borough residents has returned. Hosted by Washington Township Policeman's Benevolent Association Local #301 this year's derby will take place on Sunday, June 12th from 9 a.m. to noon at Kohler's Pond on Rock Road.
