Former ousted Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan is moving fast from town to town and holding political procession to protest against the termination of his government. The major points of his speeches are the regime change which he holds USA responsible for plotting against his government. His speeches rigorously highlight that current Prime Minister of Pakistan and his cabinet members are under corruption allegations and formal investigation therefore, their sitting in offices is disgraceful for the people of Pakistan. Khan’s campaign is not just limited to the ground it also have stormed social media where his political Hashtag #امپورٹڈ_حکومت_نامنظو ranked World top hashtag which hit over 11 million tweets. On each rally and political procession, public is actively showing great involvement and shows solidarity to his narrative. Khan has already started his processions in the capital city Islamabad along Lahore, Jhelum, Attock, Mardan. He has planned to hold big gathering in the city of Sialkot however things started to get tough when cranes arrived and started to demolish all arrangement for the expected procession which was organised for Khan’s arrival. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan immediately raised his voice on Twitter and condemned this act and revived his determination of reaching Sialkot despite all hinders and challenges. He refused to accept any pressure and blamed government for the current situation which he elaborated it as their fear of his rising popularity. There was uproar in social media as lots of users have been posting live videos and sharing images. Many members of Imran Khan ‘s political party ‘Pakistan Tehreek Insaf’ have been arrested. Independent sources and local major news organisations are reporting the plan of government to arrest over 700 workers and political personalities. According to the leading news organisation of Pakistan, government has made the list of the political activists and passed it to the local police and law enforcement authority to detain them. There is huge agitation, clashes and protest are going on which is continuously highlighted on social media. In his message on Twitter, former Prime Minister Imran Khan asked the people to come out after prayer time and join the protest rally against current government. He rejected and blamed government for using power tactics to muffle the voices of the people of Pakistan. His narrative kept on insisting that people of Pakistan would not accept forced imported government which is consist of criminals who are out on bail. His political slogan states ‘ Ghulami Na Manzoor’ (We will not accept to be slaves). Many journalists and analysts find this situation very alarming for the stability of Pakistan and having various views. Some political critics have expressed concern and advised current government to take this situation seriously and not to exaggerate it with violence. Some are in favour of current government and criticising Imran Khan for this country wide unrest. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan reminded people that he would give a call, as a result the people of Pakistan must gather in Islamabad to send this current government home. That political call could have huge public turn out. Based on Imran Khan’s previous procession it could result in enormous public gathering. So far Imran Khan has not announced the date for his call for Islamabad however political weather in Pakistan is heating up rapidly therefore upcoming days will be crucial for Pakistan.
