LOS ANGELES, CA — Two boys, 13 and 14, were shot near a Walmart in Victorville and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Tricia Blake, public information officer with the Victorville Police Department. The incident was isolated to the two boys, according to Blake. It did not occur inside the Walmart but nearby. Authorities quickly determined there was no active shooter incident. Police said the two boys were the only ones involved in the shooting, according to a news release from the Victorville Police Department. Victorville authorities received a call at 7:40 a.m. reporting someone with a gunshot wound had run inside the Walmart at 11896 Amargosa Road asking for help, according to a news release from the Victorville Police Department. Police determined the two boys had shot each other with one handgun that police recovered at the scene, police said. One boy was shot in the hand and one in the lower body, police said.
